Our People

Dr. Jodi Hart

IDAA Co-President and Director

“I am a Minjungbal woman from the Tweed/Fingal area of the Bundjalung nation. I was born and raised on Dharug country in Sydney’s western suburbs where I also completed secondary school education.

I am a graduate of University of Sydney currently working in private practice in Sydney and mother of three children.

I am proud to be a member and co-President of the Indigenous Dental Association of Australia. Oral health is just one aspect of life that needs attention to Close the Gap for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in Australia. Change will only occur with a united approach from all dental healthcare professionals, our government and Australians as a whole.

Through the connection and support for and from my fellow Indigenous dental health professionals and our non-Indigenous allies, I want to play an active role in making that happen.”
